FAQs

Does your product contain egg?

No, all our products are egg free.

Is everything in your range suitable for a vegan diet?

Yes, we’re 100% vegan!

Do you have any recipes that are suitable for Vegans?

Yes, we have a wide range of delicious vegan recipes. Please visit our Inspire page to find out more.

Can the products be eaten straight from the fridge?

Yes, all our products can be eaten hot or cold. However, we think they’re even tastier served warm.

Can vegans eat bread?

Yes, vegans can eat most breads, but please check the label, as they can’t eat breads such as brioche, croissants or most pastries, as these contain butter and sometimes milk.

Is a vegan diet kosher?

Whilst a vegan diet does make it much easier to adhere to kosher dietary laws, certain things consumed by vegans are not necessarily kosher, such as wine, which needs to be made in a specific way for it to be deemed kosher.

Does "wheat-free" mean the same thing as "gluten-free"?

No. In fact, in many cases foods labeled as “wheat-free” contain some gluten. Gluten is found in wheat, but it’s also found in the grains barley and rye. A food labelled as “wheat-free” can still contain either of those grains or ingredients derived from them.

    Vegan

In addition to a vegetarian diet, not only does a vegan diet cut out meat, but all animal by-products too. So eggs, dairy and honey are all a no-go. All our products are suitable for Vegans. Go Vegans!

  • Coeliac

    Coeliac

Coeliac disease (pronounced see-liac) is a lifelong auto-immune disease. It is caused by the immune system reacting to gluten. Because gluten is excluded from all Great Food products, Coeliacs can rest easy and just enjoy great tasting food.

  • Gluten Free

    Gluten Free

Gluten is the protein component found in wheat, rye and barley. Whereas Coeliac disease is an autoimmune disease, gluten-intolerance affects a wide range of people in differing ways. Great Food products are 100% natural and completely free of gluten.
